Bi Implication In Mathematical Logic

Definition of Bi Implication

Two statements p and q can be made into a new statement or compound sentence into the form "p if and only if q". This new statement prepared in such a way is called the statement of the bi iden- tation of the statements p and q.

Formula Bi Implications in Mathematical Logic

p ↔ q

Information :
p ↔ q reads "p if and only if q"

Example Bi Implications in Mathematical Logic

p : 5 > 1
q : 32 = 9
p ↔ q: 5 > 1 if and only if 32 = 9

Truth value table of Bi Implication

The truth value of the biimplication statement is determined as follows:

The p ↔ q bi implication is true if p and q have the same truth value. In other possibilities bi implications are false.
