Parallelogram is two-dimensional figure which is formed by two pairs of ribs each of which is equal in length and parallel to the other.

1. Formula of the area of parallelogram

Formula:

Area of parallelogram = p x h

Information:
p : pedestal

h : height

Example:

What is the area of the image bellow ??

Answer:

p = 6cm

h = 5cm

Area of parallelogram = p x h

Area of parallelogram = 6cm x 5cm

Area of parallelogram = 30cm²

So the areas of the parallelogram is 30cm².

2. Formula of The circumference of parallelogram

Formula:

circumference of parallelogram = 2(AB + BC)

Example:
What is the circumference of the image bellow ?


Answer:
AB = 12cm
BC = 9cm

circumference of parallelogram = 2(AB + BC)
circumference of parallelogram = 2(12cm + 9cm)
circumference of parallelogram = 2(21cm)
circumference of parallelogram = 42cm

So the circumference of the image above is 42cm.
