Sexagesimal

An angle can be measured in degree or radian. Especially for the degree unit can be converted into minute and second.
1º = 60' it means that 1' = 1/60º
1' = 60" and it means that 1' = 1/60" = 1/3600º
Converting the degree unit into the degree, minute, second unit is called secagesimal system.

Sexagesimal (base 60) is a numeral system with sixty as its base. It originated with the ancient Sumerians in the 3rd millennium BC, it was passed down to the ancient Babylonians, and it is still used — in a modified form — for measuring time, angles, and geographic coordinates

Example 1 (Converting degree unit into secagesimal).
5,15º = ...º ...' ..."
solution:
5,15º = 5º + 0,15º
0,15º x 60' = 9'
then 5,16º = 5º 9'or 5º 8' 60"

Example 2 (Converting degree unit into secagesimal)
23,125º = ...º ...' ..."
solution:
23,125º = 23º + 0,125º
0,125º x 60' = 7,5'
7,5 = 7' + 0,5"
0,5" x 60" = 30"
then 23,125º = 23º 7' 30"

Example 3 (converting secagesimal into degree)
25º 30' 9" = ...º
solution:
9" = 9" x (1/3600)º = 0,0025º
30' = 30' x (1/60)º = 0,5º
then 25º 30' 9" = 25º + 0,5º + 0,0025º = 25,5025º

Example 4 (converting secagesimal into degree)
12º 54' 36" = ...º
solution:
36" = 36" x (1/3600)º = 0,01º
54' = 54' x (1/60)º = 0,9º
then 25º 30' 9" = 12º + 0,9º + 0,01º = 12,91º
